Golden Nuggets: No Marquise Goodwin Sunday

liny195
The San Francisco 49ers injury report continues its hits as wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is ruled out. This helps the development of Dante Pettis who had a decent Sunday last week and now will have some more responsibilities. It also helps Richie James who no doubt is suiting up for Sunday. But boy does this hurt. Goodwin is seen as the 1b wide receiver who was primed for a huge season. He still could put up some good numbers 49ers Brock Coyle Jersey , but getting knocked out of the first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings and now out completely against the Detroit Lions, it’s definitely not an inspiring start. This does help the development of Pettis and James as they can get that valuable game day experience they may not get otherwise, but man. The 49ers are just getting banged up all over the place. I’m definitely interested in the development of Najee Toran, but I’m pretty sure when I said he needed development, I meant a season or more. Not one game. Unfortunately, desperate times call for desperate measures. Who knows? He may emerge as a valuable option for the future. The 49ers just need to get healthy. 49ers injury report: Week 2 lineup to be full of rookie (Madson)49ers WR Goodwin unlikely to play Sunday vs. Lions (Branch)Brian Baldinger: Fred Warner had best Week 1 rookie performance (Madson)49ers notes: Arik Armstead http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-k_waun-williams-jersey , Solomon Thomas compete for same role (Maiocco) Robert Saleh: Richard Sherman was his old self in debut (Madson)First NFL Loss Hasn’t Fazed 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (Williams)Turning to Najee Toran: 49ers likely to start undrafted rookie at guard (Branch)49ers linebacker Elijah Lee prepares for first NFL start (Maiocco)49ers relegate Solomon Thomas to defending run (Cohn)Ziggy Ansah “optimistic” he’ll play on Sunday (Pro Football Talk)Will 49ers George Kittle be fantasy-football owners’ delight? We talk about the kicker and punter, as well as return men, but coverage units are key — particularly punt return coverage. Which brings us to Raheem Mostert. The 49ers running back is arguably the team’s best player on special teams, and we’re seeing it on the stat sheet. Mostert had three special teams tackles in Week 2 (h/t 49ers PR director Bob Lange), and he now leads the league with five such tackles.Mostert was all over the field on special teams, but his highest profile tackle came on his coverage of Lions return man Jamal Agnew in the second quarter. Watch below as he stops him for no gain with a perfect tackle.Raheem Mostert special teams tackle http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/kyle-juszczyk-jersey-authentic , 49ers vs. LionsThis weekend, the 49ers travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ve heard plenty about the prolific Chiefs offense, but they also lead the league in punt return average. They are averaging 37.3 yards per return on four punt returns. Tyreek Hill has three returns for 101 yards and a touchdown, and De’Anthony Thomas has one return for 48 yards.Punt coverage sometimes require a strong team effort, but as we saw in Mostert’s big tackle of Agnew, the key can often be winning a one-on-one battle. Mostert made a great tackle http://www.49erscheapstore.com/kyle-juszczyk-jersey-cheap , but just as importantly, he got off the block at the line and got in position to make the play. The 49ers are going to need that in a big way this weekend against the Chiefs.
